"...this is one of those albums you make 'cos you can't find enough of the music you want out there in the real world.."

a true nod to the electronica of the 1970's and 80's, gone are the hypnotics of earlier albums replaced with funky electro-disco rhythms and 'proper' catchy tunes. as 'i want to stay in 1988' suggests; this is music for escapism to a simpler and perhaps funkier time.
